Thanks to the brilliant guiding skills of Stef Kerek (stand up paddle boarding instructor) and Emily Wormald & Cat Heart (bike guides) we welcomed three amazing charities to enjoy a day out on the Towpath Trail.
Worldies CIC, Elisha House and The Well Communities all support people in recovery via the world renowned 12 step programme which helps people to transform their lives and overcome addiction in all forms via personal growth, accountability and community support.
By creating a free event, where all equipment was provided, we removed some potential participation barriers and opened up the experience to people who really appreciated it!
“I’ve not been on a bike for 41 years and absolutely loved it!”
“I haven’t laughed this much in years”
“It’s so relaxing and quiet on the water”
Accessibility and wellbeing are at the heart of why we’re developing the Towpath Trail and it was great to put that into action by delivering the charitable ‘Away Days’ for residents, staff and volunteers of respected charities.
